Installing the FieldAx Package

Step 1: Access the Installation URL

Use the following package installation URL:

https://login.salesforce.com/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04tIU000000yer1

  • Copy and paste this URL into your browser
  • You’ll be redirected to the Salesforce login page if not already logged in

Step 2: Login to Salesforce

  • Enter your Salesforce credentials
  • Ensure you’re logging into the correct organization where you want to install FieldAx

Step 3: Installation Options

Once logged in, you’ll see the package installation screen with several options:

Install for Admins Only vs. Install for All Users

  • Install for Admins Only: Choose this for initial testing and configuration
  • Install for All Users: Recommended for production deployment

Security Settings

Review and approve the security settings:

  • API Access permissions
  • Object and Field permissions
  • Apex Class access

Step 4: Complete Installation

  • Click Install to begin the installation process
  • The installation typically takes 5-10 minutes
  • You’ll receive an email notification when installation is complete

Post-Installation Verification

Verify Package Installation

After installation, verify that FieldAx was installed successfully:

  1. Navigate to Setup → Installed Packages
  2. Look for “FieldAx” in the package list
  3. Verify the version number and installation date

Check FieldAx Apps

Confirm that FieldAx applications are available:

  1. Click the App Launcher (9-dot grid icon)
  2. Search for “FieldAx”
  3. You should see two apps:
    • FieldAx (for end users)
    • FieldAx Admin (for administrators)

Initial Access

To access FieldAx for the first time:

  1. Click on the FieldAx Admin app from the App Launcher
  2. You’ll see the main FieldAx dashboard
  3. A welcome message or setup wizard may appear for first-time users

Troubleshooting Installation Issues

Common Installation Errors

“Package Not Found” Error

  • Verify you’re using the correct installation URL
  • Ensure you’re logged into the right Salesforce organization

Permission Errors

  • Confirm you have System Administrator permissions
  • Check that your organization type supports managed packages

Installation Timeout
